A story of passion and know-how
This couple has always shared the same passion for manual work and renovation. He, a carpenter for 15 years, and she, who has worked in construction for 10 years, are a complementary duo. After renovating their two personal homes, they embarked on a new adventure in 2019: the purchase of a house to be completely renovated to make it a gîte. This project is not just about creating a place to stay, but about transforming a space with love and passion, an approach that reflects their values and craftsmanship.
The creation of the first gîte, the beginning of the adventure
In 2019, after the purchase of this house, they began months of careful renovation. Every room is redesigned, every corner optimized. In October 2022, Aventurine opened its doors on Airbnb and Booking.com, offering travelers a unique place where comfort and authenticity are combined. This cottage is much more than accommodation – it is the result of their hard work and their desire to create a welcoming and warm space. It marked the beginning of an adventure that would quickly expand.
Two additional gîtes, a growing project
In December 2023, they began a new ambitious project: the transformation of a two-storey house into two additional gîtes. For a year, they invested in this renovation to bring these new spaces to life. These three cottages, now completely renovated, reflect their passion for craftsmanship and their desire to share special moments with travelers. Each cottage tells a part of their history and offers a unique experience to those who stay there.
Family travel inspiration
Travelers at heart, they spend a few weeks each year exploring new destinations on road trips, whether in a van or staying in Airbnbs. These trips are a major source of inspiration for their gîtes. As parents of two children, they discovered the advantages of this type of accommodation: more space, the freedom to cook, a pace adapted to their family, and enriching encounters. This flexibility and conviviality, which they appreciate so much in their own travels, they wanted to reproduce in their cottages to offer the same freedom to their guests.
Human values at the heart of their project
Welcoming travellers from all over the world – from France, Belgium, England or Spain – is much more than a job for them. It's a real reconnection with people. After a gruelling career as an after-sales service manager, she found in accommodation a way to create authentic connections, exchange and share moments with their guests. Their cottages are lovingly renovated and this can be felt in the feedback from travellers. Their customers are not just passing tourists, they leave with memories and a unique experience, created in carefully designed places.

The best is yet to come
Today, this passionate couple has managed to create three unique gîtes, each with its own history and character. The first, intimate and warm, was opened in 2022 after a complete renovation. It offers an ideal setting for stays as a couple or as a family, combining modern comfort and old-world charm. The other two gîtes, freshly renovated in 2024, complete this great adventure. These two spaces, more spacious, are perfect for welcoming groups or large families looking for moments of relaxation and conviviality. Each of these cottages reflects their love of a job well done and their desire to provide their guests with memorable experiences. And with this beautiful energy that drives them, the best is undoubtedly yet to come.
